PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTING

Our faculty prepares specialists in the field of physical education and sports at the Bachelor's level. The studies last for 3 years/180 credits, with graduates earning a degree in Physical Education and Sports with a specialization in Physical Education and Sports.

The university diplomas provide our graduates with opportunities for social integration as follows: physical education and sports teacher for primary and secondary education, sports instructor, fitness instructor, physical trainer, aerobics instructor. The program covers key courses such as functional anatomy, kinesiology, physiology, and sports methodology, providing students with a strong foundation in human movement, training techniques, and sports performance. Additionally, subjects like athletics, sports games, and basic gymnastics enhance practical skills essential for physical education and coaching.

The study plan, following the dynamics of the development of the field both nationally and internationally, will periodically undergo changes to align with the requirements of the labor market.

BACHELOR DEGREE

PHYSICAL THERAPY AND SPECIAL MOTOR SKILLS

The programme prepares the student in field of medical rehabilitation. The qualification is physiotherapist which can work in rehabilitation units for neurologic pathology, orthopedic and trauma, pediatric, geriatric, cardiorespiratory diseases and sport trauma. The students have skills for clinical and functional assessment that helps for functional diagnostic. They have oportunity to have knowledge about anatomy, biomechanic, physiology, evaluation, cardiorespiratory, neurology, ortopedic and trauma, pediatric and sport traumatology. The students can choice from a lot of optional courses in field of orthesis and prothesis, sport adapted for persons with disabilities, sports game, research methodology, ocupational therapy and sports medicine.

Graduate students have the possibility to make clinical stages and practical placement in special rehabilitation units, each semester.

A graduate diploma provides graduates with opportunities for social integration, allowing them to pursue professional activities in hospitals, outpatient clinics, sanatoriums, special institutions, schools and special schools, balneo-climatic resorts, health houses or centers, dispensaries, in sports complexes, ensuring rehabilitation for sports teams, in public or private institutions, and within NGOs or private medical practices.

The physiotherapist provides kinetic assistance, preventive, therapeutic, and medical rehabilitation services, being part of the staff with higher education specialized in ensuring the health of the population. They work in a team (directly or indirectly), collaborating with specialist doctors, psychologists, social workers, orthopedists, etc.

The faculty has developed its own study plans, taking into account the dynamics of social development and scientific advancements in the field, while also referencing national and international experience. Thus, starting from the academic year 1997, the professional activity of students follows a transferable credit system compatible with any of the specialized departments in the country and recognized by the European Community.
