Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organising Committee of the 11th International Conference "Physical Exercise – A Modern and Complex Way to Promote Healthy Living," it is our pleasure to welcome you to Craiova, Romania, for the event taking place from October 30th to November 1st, 2025. Beginning this year, the conference is proudly organized through a strong collaboration between three Romanian universities: the University of Craiova, Ovidius University of Constanța, and "Vasile Alecsandri" University of Bacău.

In the same time it is a pleasure to invite you to be together with us at the 35th Anniversary of High Education in Physical Education and Sport at University of Craiova, that will be held on 30th October 2025.

We plan an exciting scientific programme for a multidisciplinary audience, including inspiring keynote lectures and many oral and poster presentations, during the 2-days conference and workshops, on different topics.

During the conference, the speakers and participants will share their knowledge with the audience.

During the 2-days a multidisciplinary national and international team of experts in field of sport science and physiotherapy, will present the research results in sport training, sport management, but also in clinical practice of physiotherapy and sports medicine. On 1st November, we are planning a lot of workshops.

Physical Exercise – A Modern and Complex Way to Promote Healthy Living, 2days conference will take place at the Hotel Ramada, a modern and attractive convention centre. This venue is conveniently located within walking distance of the city centre, hotels and the picturesque Craiova city.

We hope that many scientists from sport science, physicians, physical therapists will be able to join the conference as a multidisciplinary audience to exchange knowledge, ideas and friendship in the sport science and physiotherapy community.

The conference provides an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, discover new trends, and create connections in the field of sport science. We are proud to provide a stimulating and collaborative environment for all participants.

Sports Sciences (SS)

Studies from all disciplines, where the focus is on the application of methods and/or technologies, or theoretical constructs into applied practice to impact change in society or performance.

The Sports Sciences field includes the following topics:

Psychology, Social Sciences & Humanities (SH)

Focus on forms, meanings, determinants and consequences of sport and physical activity in society, whether in the past, present and/or future. Sport and physical activity can be understood as a wide variety of activities taking place in a variety of environments and ranging from as exercise, physical education, sports for all, performance/competitive sport, adventure sports, outdoor activities, physical recreation. Sport and physical activity are investigated in relation to methodological and theoretical approaches within psychology, pedagogy, sociology and management. In the same time research activity has an important role within this theme may also address questions on social categories and social class influence and are influenced by sport/physical activity engagement. In this way a good analyses and interpretation of qualitative as well as quantitative data are welcome and could be improve the involvement of sports science and physical activity in social behavior.

Sports & Exercise Medicine & Health (MH)

Sports & Exercise Medicine & Health are a large area of research and an interdisciplinary approach that can be studied from a translational perspective. Exercise as medicine includes the role of exercise as a means to improve health, improve life quality, reduce the risk of diseases development, prevention the chronic diseases. Other populations may include disabled or injured people or athletes with health problems and also people with disabilities.

The Sports & Exercise Medicine & Health field includes the following topics:

  • Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics
  • Sports for special population

Biomechanics & Motor Control (BM)

Studies of human movement from a mechanical viewpoint (i.e., kinematics, kinetics), and research studying the neuromuscular aspects (i.e., EMG, coordination, motor control) influencing performance. Attention is drawn as well to the loading characteristics of different sports and exercises on the musculoskeletal system.

The Biomechanics & Motor Control& Motor Learning field includes the following topics:

  • Neuromuscular Physiology

Physiology & Nutrition (PN)

Life science disciplines in a basic empirical biological science setting. Experimental models that explore and describe the acute and/or training adaptations to exercise and activity are welcomed, as are studies that address the fundamental mechanisms responsible for the beneficial and harmful effects of exercise and sport.

The Physiology & Nutrition field represents the following topics:

  • Nutrition
  • Physiology
  • Sport Physiology

Conference format: Types of presentation: talk (15minutes), workshops (60minutes) in field of sport training, sport management, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, sports medicine, panel discussion (2hrs).

Languages: English, Romanian.

Publication: Selected papers will be published in the special issue of Journal of Sport and Kinetic Movement, indexing in EBSCO, ERIH plus, DOAJ, SCIPIO, CROSSREF (Journal info - Journal of Sport and Kinetic Movement).

Conference Registration Fees

  • First Author (1 paper): €150
    Includes full access to all conference activities and the official conference materials (including the conference map).
  • Co-author (with physical attendance): €75
    Grants access to all conference activities.
  • PhD Students: €75
    Includes access to all conference activities and the official conference materials (including the conference map).
  • Undergraduate Students: €50
    Includes access to all conference activities and the official conference materials (including the conference map).
  • Participants without a Paper: €75
    Includes access to all conference activities.
  • Workshop-Only Participation (1 November 2025): 150 RON
    Applicable to participants who wish to attend only the workshops.

Full registration implies payment of the conference fee and submission of the registration form. Please note that the participants who do not pay the conference fee by 15 October, 2025 will not be included in the final draft of the conference programme.

The fee covers the conference folder, the certificate of attendance, the refreshments during coffee breaks, the lunch on 31 October and the dinner on 31October, for one conference participant. If co-authors attend, each of them has to register.

The fees for the workshops will be pay separate according to the workshop registration. On field of physiotherapy the participants will receive EMC credits from Romanian College of Physiotherapy.
